Our story

SLK started with a simple observation: working as a chef, I saw how much plastic waste is created behind the scenes in hospitality.

Rather than treating it as a byproduct, SLK was built to use it as a material. Discarded plastics are collected, processed, and transformed into durable knife handles designed for everyday use.

Founded in London in 2023 and now relaunched in Australia, SLK continues to evolve with a focus on thoughtful design and responsible materials.
